Get it Down 31 for 21: Post 31

The Dr came by, and the good news is that it is just a cold that has not gone down in the lungs. Still no fever, but he hardly gets any air when he sleeps. Vince always sleeps with his mouth closed, and breaths through the nose – well that does not work at all now, and it makes him mad. So he has been waking up a lot during the last few nights and ended up in bed with us. So basically no one sleeps. The not so cool news are that we need to go to the ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Dr again. Remember that jerk? Well, she thought we should go to him and I politely declined, so she told us an other good one to go see. Most likely Vince will have his adenoids removed sooner rather than later. He is staying really (knock on wood) healthy, but once he catches a cold, it seems to go on forever. His little button nose is already small, and the adenoids really don’t do much anyways, so we might as well get rid of them? Or? Anyone with experience? She says she thinks the tonsils can stay, but most likely not the adenoids…

  1. I’m glad it’s nothing serious but I’m sorry you will have to pay a visit to the ENT.

I used to get strep throat a lot when I was a kid. I had my adenoids and tonsils removed and was much improved afterwards.

  2. No experience to give, I just hope that little guy is feeling better soon.

  3. Small noses are deceptive – Meg still managed to get a button stuck up hers:

  4. Hej vännen! Skickade expertutlåtande i din mail. Puss

  5. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was about 8 years old or so…no problems since then aside from being more sensitive to dry air(my sinuses will get really dry and hurt sometimes). A vaporizer or humidifier helps that problem very well. :o) Hope Vince gets better soon!

  6. Man hopefully the little man can get better really quick. Kallie had her adenoids partially taken out but not her tonsils.

  7. Sending lots of well wishes for Prince Vince!

  8. Glad to hear it is just a cold; hope he’s starting to feel better! I have no experience with the adnoids, just the tubes 🙂
