A few days ago we had the honor of take over duty of the Stork. An almost 2 meter, wooden bird was placed in our flower bed in front of our front door. Handcrafted by Johannes, an oh so artsy. Or what do you say?

Bookie the master chef had made potato goulash for everyone. And of course there was beer. However, Vince is just faking it. There was a cap on the bottle, so no need to call social services.

My Mom (Vince’s and Edgar’s mormor) came to visit this weekend. It was a lot of fun, and it was really fun that Vince was not shy at all, and to 99% very well behaving. Edgar too, but he usually is not too much trouble as of yet.

We went shopping in the city on Saturday, and walked around in the beautiful fall weather. All was good till the milk bomb struck. Mastit/Mjölkstockning on one side on Saturday and adding the next side by Sunday morning. PAIN. I started having a fever and was feeling pretty bad. I called the hospital and we went in. They confirmed and did some blood tests and pitied my blue and red colored poor boobs. They wanted me to spend the night, but I managed to get the antibiotics, painkillers and got to go home, but only if I promised to come back if it became worse. So many hot showers and ice-cold booby-tricks later I am feeling pretty much fine. Still in pain while feeding Edgar, but it is getting better.

My mom flew back yesterday, but good thing it is Christmas soon. Then the four of us here in Austria are planning to invade casa-de-la-Brasmerud in Sweden for at least three weeks!

Vince had a friend over the other day. She is a cutie. And polite too. She was in love with Edgar, but I think Vince is pretty high up on her list too, cause she asked if she could spend the night with Vince. And even though she had to go home, Vince did allow her to lay in his bed with him. That is pretty big, not every one is allowed to do that!

We went to the park with the kids today. Edgar could really have cared less, he just keeps sleeping, and waking every three to four hours for a 5-10 min eating session, then goes right back to sleep. Anyways, to get back to the park. Vince loved it, and we walked around and saw some tractors/machines etc too, so Vince was happy as a lark:

It is perfect fall weather for staying inside. Rain and grey. But when Vince wakes up, we will go to the kid’s museum in the city and look at the exhibition of vehicles. I guess I better get used to doing total boy’s stuff

Vince is still liking being a big brother and still is very nice to Edgar. He loves it when he gets to hold him and loves it even more when he wakes Edgar up. Edgar usually falls a sleep within a minute again anyways.

Bs family came over this weekend and brought the kiddoes an apple tree each, which they helped us plant yesterday. Edgar missed all the action by snoozing (as usual I AM NOT complaining).

See, I miss Swedish food. A lot.
Every time in Sweden, we buy a ton of stuff to take with us back here. Mainly fish balls, cheeses, spices, special sauces etc. And after hearing about this campaign from here and here and here  and from friend E, I decided to actually do the click. Sorry it is in Swedish, the story is that the people are over worked in the store. The boss has promised them more manpower in help of an intern to help out. That is where Jerry comes is, and the punchline is:

I woke up when I heard Vince stir around 4.30ish. As Edgar had been on an eating spree in a heroic effort to save me from an even more plugged milk duct, I asked B to get up to go to Vince. So he did. And then I hear:
-Oh no Vincent, Oh NO, OH NO.

So of course I also got up. And let’s start by saying, not a single drop in the bed, or on the walls or on the floor. BUT smeared poop all over his rug. And all over himself. Including the hair…
Good stuff. Not.

So I gave him an unpopular bath, Bookie cleaned the floors, and we disinfected the whole downstairs. The washer is running non stop still. Thank G I did not buy that nice rug I wanted…

So far things are going really well. Vincent still adores Edgar and loves when he gets to hold him. They are both pretty patient with each other, even though Vince probably wishes that Edgar would pay a little more attention to the things he is showing Edgar. Like the big Lego car he drove over Edgar with this morning, or the Schleich elephant that was walking around in the bed with us. When Vince came home from Kindergarten yesterday his first words were BABY (which he now pronounces perfectly) and he ran upstairs (with a police car in hand) and gave Edgar a kiss.
